The PBF method is a 3D printing method that spreads metal powder thinly with a roller and selectively fuses areas with thermal energy to produce close parts in industries such as aviation, automotive, medical care, and dental work.

The PBF method is the most common metal 3D printing technology, which is advantageous for the production of complex-shaped precision industrial parts. PBF 3D printing is an expensive industrial equipment with low cost efficiency and high barriers to entry, but can produce high-precision parts that do not require support and can be manufactured as a final, non-production product.
